Description
Harp, Song & Sound Immersion
21st – 23rd April 2023
Set in the countryside of Murwillumbah
Join us for a weekend of harp, sound, song and connection.
Hi friends, it’s Victoria here! This Celtic Harp Immersion was inspired by my desire to deepen into presence with the harp, play, and release any stories that are holding me back from stepping into the musician I know I can be.
I asked Kate to facilitate a weekend immersion for us, and she said yes!
If like me, adore the harp, can feel its ancient wisdom and want to immerse yourself in the joy of that, free of distractions, then this is for you!
In February, Kate B will be facilitating a harp and singing immersion for harpists of all levels and abilities. Assisting us to grow in confidence and learn to play with voice and the harp for the love of it.
Kate’s style for learning harp is based in presence and listening and is less focused on learning to read music and theory. Theory will be sprinkled as a dressing on the rich texture of the sound!
Kate’s Immersions are for those who want to learn by getting stuck into it and finding the way through discovery, trying something new and connecting with your own authentic expression of the music.
What to expect:
- Playing your harp along with others at your level of capability (complete beginners are welcome!)
- Opportunity for joining in group song
- Connecting to your authentic harp style and your intentions for learning
- Embodying rhythm to support your musicality
- Sprinklings of music theory to understand your playing better
- Learning by ear, no music reading required
- Opportunity to share a song yourself and be witnessed (if you feel inspired!)
- Reflection & sharing circles with fellow harpists (all genders welcome)
- Rest and relaxation on 50 acres over looking Mount Wollumbin
